Saw two of these today on the way home from the office
Never seen them before and they are quite the abomination. On top of being absolutely hideous, if you look closely you can see that the middle roofline is slightly lower than the front and back. I wonder if it’s supposed to do that :/ ....

I saw a one back in the fall while waiting at a red light (excuse the terrible flipphone quality pic)....was equally as terribad.

They’re atrocious as normal length cars, and even worse when stretched. With is a shame, because they aren’t bad. They’re not great, but for an old person’s station wagon (not the sporty Jalop kind) it’s decent.

agree - I don’t know why Lincoln just didn’t just promote a stretch version of the Navigator. I couldn’t be any more expensive and likely a whole lot easier to stretch. One of Lincoln’s more confusing recent decisions...

I guess I’d just ask why these kind of ridiculous super-stretched limos exist? Why can’t we go back to shorter limos?

Don’t ride in that if you are going to cross railroad tracks.

That’s good if you are an executive or dictator, but not if you are a bachelorette party (or any other decent sized group of drunken people).

Shares a platform with the Explorer and Flex, both of which are so much better looking. I’ll give them credit for building something that’s more distinct than just rebadging a Ford, but they need to admit failure and come up with something new (or go searching for another luxury SUV to knockoff)

Not the sporty kind?
NOT THE SPORTY KIND?
365 HP AWD WAGON FROM LINCOLN!

Try taking one around a corner and then let me know how sporty you still think it is

OK what do you consider to be a sporty wagon so i can look up slalom times and compare them.

How about the V60 T6?

2011 popped up with you getting an advantage because the S60 times popped up instead of the V60, can’t seem to find older V60 or newer MKT, so I compromised.
2010 Lincoln MKT AWD Ecoboost (355 hp, new one has 365 thanks to new tune)
http://www.edmunds.com/lincoln/mkt/20…
Tractional control couldn’t be turned off in the MKT and it pulled 59.6 mph on the slalom. Skied pad of .76
2011 S60 T6
http://www.edmunds.com/volvo/s60/2011…
With the ESC on (fairer comparison to the MKT where you can’t turn it off) the S60 pulled 63.5 on the slalom. And that’s not even the Wagon. Skidpad of .81
So it lost to the car version of the Volvo by 4 mph and .05 g’s. Doesn’t seem like it would be so terrible. Thoughts?

I drove one of those once, though it wasn’t quite that long

Lincoln doesn’t decide which of their cars becomes stretch. It’s the coachbuilders who make the decision. And the stretch Navigator is a thing.

I have driven the Flex Ecoboost, and the non-Ecoboost MKT. We also had a Flex for some time. I can say that both are very comfortable, well-made cars, and very quick with the Ecoboost. However, neither one handles particularly well, and the Lincoln is also quote ugly. So no, it’s too much of a big Ford crossovert be a sporty wagon.

I’m just saying man, you may not like the way it feels driving it, but the numbers don’t lie. Against a year newer sedan (not even the wagon) it did pretty damn well.

I will admit it did well, but I’m still not even slightly convinced it’s a sporty vehicle. Fast=/=sporty. We can agree to disagree on this one.

I suppose it depends on the definition of sport in this circumstance. To me, fast is a requirement, to you its not as important.

I love things that go fast, and sporty cars are often fast. But a sporty FRS isn’t fast and a ‘71 Cuda 426 isn’t sporty.

I hear what you’re saying
but any negative spoken about a 71 ‘Cuda 426 doesn’t compute
